Healthy Snacks--So Fun!

 Granola Bars:

So simple, delicious, and made at home!

1.  Boil 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup honey, 1/3 cup brown sugar for about 2 and a half minutes.  Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
2.  In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of Rice Krispies with 2 cups of oats.
3.  Pour the honey mixture over the cereal mixture and stir quickly to coat.
4.  Press the mixture onto parchment paper on a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan.
5.  Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips and press in to make them stick.

Let them cool for about an hour at room temperature, then cut them into your favorite shapes.

We used our star cookie cutter this time and what a hit!  They were the perfect size and fun to eat.

We just put the left-over pieces into a tupperware container and have continued to snack on the oh-so-delicious left-over pieces.
