What are you making for Football Play-offs? Chili of course!

We're gearing up for the Patriots v. Ravens game tonight with a pot of simmering chili.  Here's how we do this one-pot wonder:

 Chili:

1.  Chop up a green pepper, 3 stalks of celery and a large onion.  Saute in a large pot with grass-fed ground beef or bison.

2.  Add beans and tomatoes.  This time we used:
  • 2 cans of diced tomatoes (one with green chiles and one with chili spices)
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 1 can of dark red kidney beans
  • 1 can of garbanzo beans
  • 1 can of pinto beans

3.  Mix well and season to taste with chili seasoning, cumin, saracha, salt, and pepper.

4.  Let simmer for as long as you can.

 5.  Serve and enjoy with  tortilla chips, corn bread and/or a dollop of sour cream.
